Ya know, it's rare these days to find someone with real heroes. One of my heroes was John Updike. Sadly, he lost his battle with lung cancer on Tuesday. I think of other heroes in my life, and how they have influenced me, and I find most are of the arts and entertainment genre. And I know none of them personally. Go figure. A few lived many years ago and were more of the spiritual persuasion, but entertainers as heroes? I think I may have sunk a bit.
