Now with BACON!

Ahhh . . . an unanticipated day off from the University. What to do? What to work on? What to EAT?

Well, I had a biscuit, 1/2 a grapefruit, and a multigrain bagel for breakfast (soy margarine), a leftover homemade veggie sushi roll (nori, brown rice, cabbage, carrot, avocado, onion) from dinner last night, some pretzels, 4 multigrain crackers, and for dinner, vegetarian bean burritos on multigrain wraps with soy cheese, onion, and OG baby lettuce mix. (Wiiiiith hot sauce, I might add!)

Notice what is missing?
  1. animal products

  2. the BROWN FAIRY!

Yes, goodbye, Sister Disco. I think I got it beat! I got that monkey off my back and not a moment too soon! Especially since they came out with the new flavor above. (Not really - stole this from a graphic designer's site!)

I have decided that is the way I will go with this. One monkey at a time . . . and so far, I have conquered two.

So, I read a random article today that said there is a connection between gluten and asthma. Working at a university, I have the benefit of being able to log into library databases offsite. Turns out, the only thing I could find connecting the two is what's called baker's asthma - an occupational asthma which occurs when you work in a bakery and there is flour and other baking-related powders airborne.

Has anyone else heard of this? Or of studies done?
