Thirteen pounds gone!


There is an ancient proverb which states: " We are all given two doctors - our right leg and our left leg." This was true 10 years ago for me, and it's still true today.

In addition to eating vegan as much as possible, and eating as little as possible ( I graze small amounts here and there with occasional meals), I park (or get off at a bus stop) a sizeable distance from my office & classrooms. So, three days per week, I walk nearly a city mile, up and down hills, to get to work. On the weekends, we walk Allie about 1.75 - 2.5 miles each day. During the week, I try to walk her when possible, and we walk (remembering it's a hilly neighborhood) about 4 blocks to the park in the village, then back.
Our blocks, mind you, are about 1/3 mile long.

It's obviously helping. I have lost 13 pounds in the last 3.5 weeks. Not too shabby! That includes several times of falling "off the wagon", too!
