Well, turns out, sometimes I am bad. BUT, I always pay for it in the end!We had some avocados and tomatoes to use up, and some cheese to get out of the house, so I decided to make nachos. Homemade guac, lots of fresh veggies, refried beans . . . ummmmm. They were delicious!
So delicious, in fact, that I ate more than I intended, was not well the whole night, and had bizarre dreams of Mexico. Sigh. I will learn!
We took Goggy-girl for a walk yesterday. It was foggy, misty, and rainy, so I put her rain coat on. She was the star of the park! I know, I know - I HATE dressed animals. BUT, it was practical since it was so dreary. Only her legs & paws were muddy. Plus, the bright red-orange color was so kicky! She is so daintily built that I have to alter it, but it is CUTE! It was also easy to see her as she ran like a break-neck lunatic through up the hills and down the path. She ran into some old friends (Bridget and her sister golden retriever), and two new boys - Bruce the boxer (she LITERALLY batted her eyelashes at him), and this ADORABLE black lab mix about her size. I was glad she was looking especially cute yesterday! I swear if they had opposable thumbs they would have asked for her digits! (She broke away from us to run to Bruce, then later, he broke away to run to Allie. Unfortunately, I was in the middle of the creek on the stepping stones, and he nearly knocked me in . . . )
So, yes, walked in park for exercise. I haven't been logging my exercise much, but it usually entails the dog and a leash. And lousy weather (just my luck).
Yesterday
Breakfast: muffin and oolong tea
Snack: 2 hard-boiled egg whites (Allie eats the yolks)
Lunch: Ruby Tuesday's salad bar (lettuce, hb egg, cukes, onions, edamame, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, 10 croutons, 2 T avocado ranch, 2 T blue cheese)
Dinner: Nachos. Ugh.
So, I am slowly learning. Or, perhaps my palette is re-learning. The Blue Cheese dressing - usually my favorite - was awful and I couldn't finish my second helping. And, obviously, the nachos issue last night. Perhaps going without dairy for a couple of days makes your body NOT want it the next time you eat it?
Just a thought.

mmm nachos! As Rachael would say "anything in moderation" LOL
ReplyDeleteAs I would say about Rachael . . . she is not qualified to make those statements! LOL
