Happy Valentine's Day!

Ah, yes. Dinner last night was lovely steamed dim sum - vegan, of course. It was awesome! I am actually considering making it for lunch again today! I hadn't used the steamer in ages. It was well worth dragging it out! I drizzled Szechuan Fire Oil on mine, then we had dipping sauces of hoisin (vegan), tamari (wheat free), and Annie's OG honey mustard. Splendiferous!

This morning started poorly already, but really, it is a holiday. Remember the onion na'an which gave me the heartburn? Well, decided to use that with my (yikes) poached eggs this morning. A little soy margarine, a little chili powder, and presto! Breakfast! It was actually quite delicious. For lunch or dinner (if I don't make dim sum again), I am trying a new veggie burger recipe (the base of which is spinach - mmmm, Popeye-y!) and oven fried potato wedges. Yum!

Speaking of Peewee Herman (the Popeye-y quote above), I wonder, "What ever happened to Paul Reubens?" Hopefully not the same thing that happened to Baby Jane. I hadn't seen that movie in ages and watched it the other day. I always wonder if Blanche dies at the end . . . Besides, I always thought he was a little insane already anyway. I could just hear him singing "I've written a letter to Daddy" with his face all rouged and powdered. Except, I would envision him stumbling around - kind of like Baby Jane meets Sunset Blvd. I mean, Jane did drink, but DAMN that girl could dance!

I know Paul was recently on 30 Rock. Perhaps it's the start of something new! How many people think he could get away TODAY with some of the innuendos he did on the Peewee Herman show? And, in case you are so inclined, enjoy this tasty bit. WARNING: OFFENSIVE BUT FUNNY
