Sometimes, having a husband 12 years younger is a bit of a chore. Sometimes.
Minor in music or not, he is still sometimes a product of his era - an era of bad cover bands and Led Zeppelin-ania.
I'm an old punk rocker. I go way back with the likes of Patti Smith and Joe Jackson. Bob Geldof will always be one of my heroes, and Peter Gabriel will always be wearing makeup, in my mind. Don't get me started.
So, imagine my shock, surprise, sadness, (insert other S word here), when Husband announced he thought 10,000 Maniacs' version of "Because the Night" is better than Patti Smith's. Huh? WHO WROTE IT? Can you really sing something soulfully if it's not your own?
Seriously, that's like saying Whitless Houston's howling rendition of "I Will Always Love Youhoohohohohohou" is better than Dolly Parton's, or Cyndi Lauper's "Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay" is better than Otis'.
Led Zeppelin was burnout music when I was in school. Husband's generation tried to venerate them.
Get real. Husbands - bah! Might as well be walkin' on the sun.

Oh, yes, he did. I considered separation, but he's on in-house call today anyway. He will be gone overnight. That'll show 'im!
