I just love this picture. It's titled "Winter Solstice". I have no idea what it has to do with my blog, but I thought I would post it as a distraction from the fact I haven't posted almost two weeks. Oops.
In the past two weeks, I have spent 4 days in Houston, had a sinus infection upon my return, and did a 12-hour driveathon to house hunt. And my parents kindly joined me since Husband couldn't . . . it was their 49th anniversary, too!
I have also lost 32 pounds since March. I am pretty happy! Only a few thousand more to go - ugh.
So, I will post when I have something more exciting. Right now, a detailed list of what I have to accomplish before moving just seems so banal.
Enjoy today's stolen diet tip!
There is a reason why people are acting in their music - listen to external suggestions takes your mind away from physical activity. This is the secret of “the pursuit of the time” fly. If your organization is focused on what you’re doing, the session will be from that day appears. The purchase of a portable music player, or you can lie directly on a TV.
Yeah, there's a thought. If I were thin enough to lay on our flat screen without breaking it, I don't know if I would need these diet tips. Just a thought.

Kim, you're back! I missed you! And you left me all those nice comments, too. 32 lbs.!! That is fabulous! I wish I could be in your fasting group, but I live in New Jersey. Does that matter? Isn't that an odd, quirky, interesting winter solstice print? They usually revolve around a fire, evergreen, and a full moon. It's considered a quiet, contemplative time, and this image is quite active. And soon it will be midsummer's eve! 49 years! Next year you'll have some serious planning to do. Any luck with a house? I still like the farm... Best, Margaret How about dancing to the music for exercise?
ReplyDeleteHI, Margaret! Yes, I have been very busy! I do love your blog so much. Your photos and thoughts are so lovely and tranquil. It's always a treat to check out your site!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could dance now. It's hard enough to walk around in this sludge they call air in Cincinnati. I take a 1 - 2 mile walk nearly every day with the dogs at the park, but I think the trees (thankfully!) help filter the air quality. And I take advantage of the many "sniff breaks" to catch my breath! :)
I know - I just love that print. I love Victorian-era art anyway. Like Palmer Cox's brownies, Cicely mary Barker's flower fairies, and the original Raggedy Ann & Andy illustrations. Beautiful!
I am ALL about the farm, but I am content to let my husband decide Sunday which one. Each has its many lovely qualities, each has its downfalls. We will wait and see what comes of it! (Personally, I love the view out the front door of this GORGEOUS old church, St John Amelith.)
Happy Tuesday!

PS the fasting group is online and international! The administrator & founder - my buddy David - is in England, one of the major contributors is a fasting doctor from South Africa, and the majority of folks are in the US, but also all over Europe, Canada, and S. America. It's a great bunch!
ReplyDeleteCheck us out at www.fastingconnection.com
I am part of the Core Group. When you register, tell David you know me. You will fit wonderfully well with the personalities there. David is a hoot. We email at least twice daily! :) I am also participating in the Fast for Darfur. I don't socialize on that site, though. Group Fast on FC starts the first Monday of every month! It's a 4 day - 3 on, 1 transition. Join us!
