So, have you been hearing about this "miracle weight loss tea" called Wu-Yi? Yeah, hate to burst their bubbles, but it's plain ol' Chinese Oolong tea! The kind you get in a Chinese restaurant. So, don't spend $40 for a 30 day supply! Go to a grocery store with a good tea selection and buy oolong for $4.
You're welcome.
I do hate how gimmicky weight loss is. I was looking at a website where supposedly this woman lost all of this weight on (get this one) the Rachael Ray diet! First of all, who the hell is Rachael Ray to be recommending diets? (She's not even really a COOK, let alone a chef. She started as one of those people who presents food in grocery stores. Iron Chef put her in her place the other night!) So, naturally I had to look. There was this picture of a woman taken from behind, in a bikini no less, who had to be at least 300 pounds, then the superskinny model says that was her at 182. Um, 182??? It was more like 282, and funny how we don't see the FACE. The site itself was SOOOO poorly written and she wasn't even consistent with things like, oh, how to spell Rachael's name! How sad that people actually fall for this kind of crap! How desperate people get about weight loss. Husband has done hundreds of bariatric surgeries of varying degrees (his hospital has a bariatric center) over the past five years. So very sad. I know someone who had a band put in (not by Husband) and she lost 40 pounds at first. That was nearly 2 years ago. She's gained it back.
Yesterday
Breakfast: 15 raw pecans, 1/3 c. roasted unsalted sunflower seeds, OOLONG TEA
Lunch: 2-12 grain bread, 2 T Smart Balance, 3 St. Ives meatless bologna, 1/3 c. cheddar (I know)
Snack: 5 pecans, 2 pear and cheddar cheese muffins (sound bizarre, but you do not taste either ingredient. the pear makes them sweet and moist while the cheese makes them a little rich. Made with whole wheat flour and a little flax seed, too), 2 small cookies
Dinner: FAIL! 1 veggie egg roll, 6 fried mushrooms with Tamari sauce, 1 cup of General Tso's Tofu (tofu, sauce, veggies), extra spicy, 1/2 c. steamed rice, 1.5 fortune cookies
I was planning to make a Peruvian dish called tuna Causas, but the past 4 nights, one patietn or another has crashed during evening rounds, and Husband has not been home until 8 - 10:00. Last night was 9:00, not awful, but he has also been on pager call at night. But considering we get up at 4:30 and he's at work by 6:00, that's a HELLUVA long day!
(incidentally, I call my husband Husband and he calls me Lady, or Pretty Lady. In case you are curious)

holy crap... don't dis Rachael!
