I post to several blogs. One comment I made to someone's post today was as follows:
Shannon: There is nothing more banal and irritating than when people refer to one another as "sheep" or "sheeple". To do so diminishes any intelligent thing you may have to say following it (or preceding, as the case may be). I personally take the stand that we can all believe what we want to, and insulting someone to get your point across does NOTHING except make them turn a deaf ear. Do you think it's easy, being a vegetarian for 30 years? It's called speak your truth as you know it, leave the slings and arrows at home, and lead by example, not insult.
It gets on my nerves!
Oh, and there is a growing movement blaming Hiney Flu on the meat industry. Big surprise! Most of our illnesses these days (Swine Flu, e coli, bird flu, mad cow) are all due to the meat industry. What's the answer?? You guessed it. I don't even have to finish my sentence.
