The vegan nightmare

I am trying so hard to continue the vegan diet. I flubsed up on the fast - but the group does them monthly, so I will join another one in March. I may start fasting a few days every other month.

I also discovered how to make vegan pancakes! I used a little extra vegetable oil instead of egg. It was incredible. A little soy butter, a little pure maple. It was heaven.

The nightmare about veganism is it is very difficult to find processed foods in a traditional store. Or a restaurant, or . . . yeah, you see the problem.

The good news, if we move to a more rural area - no pizza places, no fast food, no nothing! It will be wonderful.
******************UPDATE TO THIS POSTING******************

So, I was on the phone with Courtney after writing this post. I only had one pancake and left the remainder on the counter. Shortly thereafter, I hear a scrambling noise of sorts . . .
I walk in the kitchen, and there stands Allie in the middle of the floor, at an angle, facing the kitchen doorway (as in stakeout or standing guard). Philip is busily doing the illegal duty - on the edge of the counter, trying to swipe another of the moist pancake off the plate (they stuck a little).

Did I mention Allie was chomping on one? As fast as she possibly could?

See, they are a great pair, but their work is for evil, not good . . .
